Heritage Is Best Understood on Foot
Silsila exists to turn monuments and old streets back into stories — led by people who research them, not just narrate them.
How We Started
Silsila began as a handful of friends walking Delhi's old quarters on weekends, frustrated that so much of the city's layered history was either locked behind a ticket counter or reduced to a single plaque. We started writing our own routes, reading up on the Mughal, Sultanate, and colonial-era history behind the places we loved, and inviting others along.
What began as a few dozen people on a Sunday morning has grown into a running calendar of guided walks and cultural experiences, built by people who treat this history as something worth getting right.
What a Walk Is Like
No megaphones, no rushed itineraries — just a small group and a guide who knows the ground.
We Gather at the Site
Every walk begins where the history actually happened — a fort gate, a bazaar lane, a riverside ghat.
We Tell the Story
Our guides connect what you're standing in front of to the people, politics, and everyday life that shaped it.
We Connect the Present
We close each walk by tying the history back to the city as it exists today — because heritage isn't frozen in the past.
